Sachin Tendulkar awarded Bharat Ratna award

Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar Iconic said today that he will “go to bat for India” in all spheres of life in his attempt to bring smile on the faces of ordinary people. ” I’ll go to bat for India despite my cricket has stopped, but I will continue to bat for India.

And i try my best to give the people of India a reason to smile, “he told reporters after being conferred Tendulkar Bharat Ratna by the President here. ” is the greatest honor for me and I am very happy to receive Bharat Ratna ” she said.

Tendulkar, 40, and eminent scientist Prof. CNR Rao honors were presented at a brief function in Rashtrapati Bhavan Vice President Hamid Ansari attended Durbar Hall, Union ministers, Sachin Wife’s Anjali, daughter Sara and a number of dignitaries.

Little Master batsman Sachin Tendulkar, who retired from international cricket on 16 November last year, is the first athlete to receive the honor.

“Couple of months ago as i told everyone that this award recognizes that he would like to dedicate this to my mother, and together with all mothers in India who sacrifice their desires, aspirations for their children, so that their dreams come reality, ” Tendulkar said.

Also congratulated Prof. Rao to motivate young people to become scientists.
